Mountain bike hydration pack for the next tour
Are you looking for a practical, versatile alternative to the classic drinking bottles that every cyclist is familiar with? Then we have the right solution for you: a bike backpack with drinking system.
When cycling, hydration backpacks have the massive advantage that liquid can be supplied without having to take your hands off the handlebars. This can be especially useful on the trail during rapid downhill descents, as there is no way to just pull the bottle out of the holder - the risk of a fall is simply too great. In addition, the bike hydration pack can accommodate a lot of useful accessories.
Hydration packs for road cycling
A road bike hydration pack can also make your ride much easier. Admittedly, the liquid intake here, for example, on a descent on an asphalt road is less problematic than when mountain biking. However, if you think about a steep climb, where you really have to give everything to climb it, it becomes clear: Here, too, it is easier to take a few sips from the drinking tube than to get the bottle out. On the mountain, you usually need both hands on the handlebars - at the latest when the ramp becomes so steep that you have to stand up. Ideal are the slim "Road One" models from Deuter, which can be equipped with a 2l hydration system.
How do you clean a hydration bladder?
With regular use or just when a drink other than water is filled, you should clean the hydration bladder. Camelbak creates remedy with its cleaning kit, which consists of two brushes and two cleaning tabs. The brushes, one small and one large, can be used to clean the drinking tube and hydration bladder. Then the reservoir can be filled with water and a cleaning stick. After about thirty minutes, the water can be drained and the reservoir hung up to dry using the included drying rack. As an alternative to the cleaning tablets, denture cleaner can also be used.
